Front Room Racing

Privacy policy

Effective 1 November 2026

Front Room Racing is built to know as little about you as possible. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. We don't sell or share data.

On your device

Your careers, races, rivals and settings are stored on your iPhone or iPad. Your machine's readings are used during a race and are not sent anywhere, except in problem reports (below).

iCloud

If Sync careers with iCloud is on, your careers are saved to your own private iCloud database so they can follow you to another device. Apple stores this data. We can't see it.

Apple Health

If you turn on Save races to Apple Health, each finished race is saved as a workout. The app writes workouts only and never reads your health data. Health data never leaves Apple's systems because of this app.

Problem reports

Send problem reports is on by default and can be turned off in More → Settings. When a machine misbehaves, the app crashes, or you send a report yourself, the app sends:

Reports contain no name, email address, location or contacts. They are filed as issues in a private software project so we can fix the problem. To limit abuse, the report server keeps a keyed one-way hash of your IP address for two hours and then deletes it.

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. We don't receive your payment details.

Bluetooth

The app uses Bluetooth to find and read fitness machines. Some bikes and rowers send nothing until an app asks them to start a session, so the app may send them that request. It never changes speed, resistance or incline, and never sends a treadmill anything that could start the belt.

Children

The app doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Questions: use More → Report a problem… in the app.
